Dual speaker output lossless connection: Matrix Audio meticulously designs and customizes heavy-duty, gold-plated copper output binding posts, offering low transmission resistance and securely clamping speaker cables, ensuring every detail of the audio is accurately transmitted. FPGA femtosecond clock: The digital audio processing section uses a dual-femtosecond clock architecture. Two femtosecond clocks customized by Matrix provide a benchmark for sampling rates of 44.1kHz and 48kHz and their multiples. Combined with Matrix's frequency division and jitter elimination algorithms within the high-speed FPGA, they reduce clock phase jitter and reconstruct data accuracy, bringing an enhanced "airy feeling" to the music.
Precise pre-amplifier volume control: The built-in 256-level precision digitally controlled analog preamp volume system eliminates the sound quality degradation associated with mechanical wear and tear associated with traditional potentiometers. It supports fine-tuning from -80dB to +12dB with 0.5dB step accuracy . An algorithm-optimized voltage output curve ensures phase synchronization between left and right channels during volume adjustment, preserving the integrity of the sound field even at low volumes. Additionally, 12 levels of channel offset compensation facilitate fine-tuning based on speaker placement and the actual listening environment.
Preamp output & low frequency output: The MD-1P features pre-amplifier and subwoofer outputs with synchronized volume control for easy connection to power amplifiers. The subwoofer output precisely outputs low frequencies below 150Hz, conveniently connecting active subwoofers to extend the subwoofer range. The MD-1P also features dual subwoofer outputs, making it ideal for larger listening environments requiring dual subwoofers. Furthermore, a trigger port allows for power synchronization with active subwoofers, eliminating the need for manual power on/off for a more convenient experience.
Phono input: A carefully tuned low-noise RIAA curve MM phono amplifier is built in.
