Twin-Cabinet Design
The MB2 XBD SE features an additional cabinet with a dedicated 12-inch bass driver for greater headroom, powerful low-frequency impact and an increased sense of scale. The cabinets can be positioned side by side but perform best as a freestanding tower, producing more uniform bass throughout the listening room.

Custom-designed, British-built binding posts and linking bars reflect PMC’s attention to engineering quality.
Precision PL-5 Plinths
The MB2 XBD SE includes a pair of PL-5 plinths with large adjustable spikes. These provide accurate levelling while reducing unwanted vibrations between the cabinets and floor, improving midrange focus, bass definition and timing.

Passive Systems
The MB2 XBD SE passive design allows listeners to choose their preferred amplifier. Its precision-engineered crossover distributes audio frequencies between the drivers for clear, balanced reproduction. Military-grade glass-fibre circuit boards, thick copper tracks and carefully selected, hand-soldered components minimise resistance and ensure reliable performance.
The Beating Heart
PMC’s ATL™ (Advanced Transmission Line) technology delivers deep, natural bass through specially designed acoustic transmission lines. The MB2 XBD SE uses two 3m transmission lines to extend low-frequency response while maintaining clarity and control. Special acoustic materials absorb unwanted frequencies, preventing bass from masking vocals and musical detail. Bass remains balanced and well-defined even at lower listening volumes.
