- Precision engineering and craftsmanship
- SPU GTX cartridges are hand-built by experienced workers in Denmark. Their unibody housings are molded in one piece from a specially selected glass-fiber reinforced co-polymer, never before used for SPU cartridges. This ensures a form-factor stable, rigid, and low resonance housing for the fine generating system. The bottom cover is molded from the same new material, encapsulating the engine in a uniform material and design.
- Built-in step-up transformer
- The SPU GTX Series is designed to simplify your setup without compromising sound quality. When developing the GTX series, Ortofon chose to develop the new step-up transformers in collaboration with the company Lundahl Transformers. Thanks to the built-in step-up transformer, these cartridges connect directly to any phono stage or amplifier with the ease of a moving magnet cartridge – no extra equipment needed.
