- MA Remote App: It's the ultimate tool for controlling your audio decoder. Install the MA Remote app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, turning it into the ultimate control center. Browse and play music on your device, enjoy online music from high-definition media platforms like Sony Select, TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, Baidu Netdisk, QQ Music, and listen to exciting online radio stations. Even when streaming to your device via Roon or other apps, you can view playback information on the MA Remote app. The MA Remote app also allows you to configure every hardware function, completely changing the way you operate your audio source.
- Local music streaming: The X-SABRE 3 is Roon Ready, meaning it can be discovered and connected to the Roon app without any additional configuration, delivering pristine audio quality over your local area network. With the Roon app, you can control playback, volume, and sleep settings on the X-SABRE 3. When used with third-party playback software that supports UPnP or DLNA, you can also stream pristine audio files over your local area network.
- Online streaming: The X-SABRE 3 is the first Matrix Audio model to feature two new features: TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect. You can browse your music library in the native TIDAL and Spotify apps, find and select the X-SABRE 3 as the playback device, and then send the audio stream losslessly to the X-SABRE 3. You can even control the output volume of the X-SABRE 3 from these apps. AirPlay and QQ Music are two other convenient and fast ways to stream high-quality audio.
- High-speed Internet access: Beneath the large tempered glass covering the top of the X-SABRE 3 lies a hidden gem. Hidden here is a set of 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi antennas, allowing the X-SABRE 3 to elegantly receive high-speed network signals. For environments with poor wireless coverage, a full Gigabit Ethernet connection is also available to ensure stable transmission of high-sample-rate audio files within the local network.
- Synchronous/asynchronous mode: Switching the D/A chip's operating mode eliminates tedious manipulation; it's now easily accessible via the X-SABRE 3's touchscreen. In asynchronous mode, the D/A chip's master clock is derived from the X-SABRE 3's internal Crystek CCHD-950 femtosecond clock, isolating the front-end device's clock without affecting playback quality. In synchronous mode, the internal femtosecond clock is disabled, leaving the D/A chip completely dependent on the front-end device's clock. This mode, when paired with a high-quality digital interface, bypasses the unit's digital processing via the IIS-LVDS interface, sending the digital audio stream directly to the D/A chip, enabling a unique audio experience.
- On the verge of breaking out: The addition of streaming functionality makes using the X-SABRE 3 even more enjoyable. Simply pick up your phone and it'll automatically wake up from standby mode and go to work. A new standard trigger port eliminates the need to manually power on your amplifier, letting the X-SABRE 3 take full control. Even when the X-SABRE 3 enters standby mode, it automatically powers off the power amplifier via the trigger port, delivering a truly one-touch streaming experience.
- Fully isolated design: With the addition of more features, the X-SABRE 3's digital processing system has become increasingly powerful. Faster processing speeds and higher clock frequencies mean that high-frequency noise from the digital system can interfere more with the audio. To ensure the audio circuitry maintains high performance, we've adopted a fully isolated design. This completely separates the digital system from the D/A conversion and analog circuitry, achieving complete electrical isolation between the two circuits. Furthermore, the housing houses the two circuits in separate cavities. This ensures that despite the X-SABRE 3's more complex digital system, its audio specifications match or even surpass those of its predecessor.
