Dual TX & RX Bluetooth Modes
The UP Travel Max switches between Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) modes. TX mode sends audio from in-flight entertainment systems, laptops, and other headphone-output devices to Bluetooth headphones. RX mode provides Bluetooth playback through a car's AUX input.
aptX Lossless
Support for aptX Lossless enables CD-quality Bluetooth playback with compatible devices. Additional high-resolution codecs, including LDAC, provide compatibility with a variety of headphones and audio sources.
K2 Technology
JVCKENWOOD's K2 Technology helps restore harmonic information lost during audio digitisation, improving musical detail and creating a more authentic listening experience.
Auracast Technology
Auracast compatibility enables broadcasting to unlimited compatible headphones, earbuds, and DACs. This allows multiple listeners to enjoy the same audio simultaneously.

The UP Travel Max provides high-resolution wireless connectivity for cars, aircraft entertainment systems, and other audio sources. Its TX/RX switch allows operation as either a Bluetooth transmitter or receiver, eliminating the need for multiple adapters.

A dedicated Qualcomm Bluetooth chip handles wireless communication, while a Cirrus Logic DAC and Hi-Fi-grade amplifier stage manage audio conversion and amplification. This separates critical audio functions rather than relying entirely on a single integrated chipset.
Your iPod. Now Wireless.
The flip-out 3.5mm connector allows compatible iPods and MP3 players to transmit audio to Bluetooth headphones or wireless speakers. aptX Lossless playback is available with compatible receiving devices.
Wireless, Without Compromise
The UP Travel Max supports aptX Lossless for CD-quality playback and LDAC for high-resolution Bluetooth listening. aptX Adaptive offers low-latency operation to help synchronize audio with video. A front-mounted control allows switching between codecs and checking which codec is currently active.
Connection, Without Limits
Auracast broadcasting allows compatible listeners to join a shared audio stream without conventional Bluetooth pairing or passwords. The feature is activated through the iFi Nexis app.
Single Device. Double The Enjoyment.
For headphones without Auracast support, the UP Travel Max can connect to two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously, allowing two listeners to share music or movies.
Bringing Back The Warmth
JVCKENWOOD's K2 Technology is available through the iFi Nexis app. It processes audio to recover natural harmonics and fine high-frequency details that may be lost during digitisation.
Call Quality That Cuts Through
A built-in microphone works with Qualcomm cVc noise and echo suppression technology to improve voice clarity during hands-free calls. Background noise reduction helps maintain intelligibility in environments such as airports, cafés, and public transportation.

The iFi Nexis app provides over-the-air firmware updates, advanced Bluetooth codec management, Auracast and K2 controls, device customization, and battery optimization. The app is available for iOS and Android.
