Its slender cabinet houses a High-Velocity Folded Ribbon AMT tweeter, dual cast-basket mid/bass drivers, and a powered sub-bass system with DSP-controlled amplification. Enhanced crossovers, premium internal wiring, a cast-aluminum base, and a metal grille further elevate performance and design.

High-Velocity Folded Ribbon AMT Tweeter
A powerful magnetic motor helps the reference AMT tweeter reproduce detailed, clear high frequencies efficiently. Carefully positioned wool felt reduces diffraction and reflected sound.
High-Definition Mid/Bass Drivers
Two cast-basket mid/bass drivers use improved yoke assemblies to reduce distortion. Multi-Vaned Phase Plugs improve off-axis response and support an expansive soundstage.
Long-Throw Quadratic Subwoofers
The two powered quadratic subwoofers are positioned at different heights within the cabinet, improving their interaction with the passive radiators and providing approximately 1 dB of additional output.
Quadratic Planar Back-Wave-Driven Radiators
The passive radiators work acoustically with the powered subwoofers to extend low-frequency response, increase bass impact and limit distortion.
Robust, Efficient Subwoofer Amplifier
GoldenEar's SuperSub-inspired DSP and amplification provide extended, balanced bass response with articulate sound and low distortion.
Crossover & Internal Wiring
The sophisticated crossover supports a flat frequency response spanning more than nine octaves. AudioQuest PMO-treated bypass capacitors and directional Perfect-Surface Copper+ internal wiring help preserve clarity and reduce RF noise.
High-Quality Binding Posts — Now Bi-Wireable
Two pairs of upgraded binding posts permit separate bass and treble wiring to reduce signal interference. AudioQuest gold-plated jumpers are included.
Elegant Cabinet
The tall, narrow enclosure supports holographic imaging and incorporates GoldenEar's strongest proportional cabinet construction to date.
