The WS500 In-Wall Loudspeaker is a versatile speaker suited for custom install applications for both 2-channel home audio and in-home theaters as front, center, or surround sound speakers. It is an ideal speaker to use with our MI128 or MI254 distribution amplifiers, or with our WS300 in-wall speaker and CS200 in-ceiling speaker – both of which it is voice matched to for a seamless and cohesive aural experience. In-home theaters, it works great with any of our A/V processors and multi-channel amplifiers. The 3-way WS500 is fully enclosed to deliver incredible performance in any environment plus a controlled air chamber minimizes distortion and response irregularities. It features two 6.5" woofers, two 2" inverted Titanium dome midranges, and one 3/4" Titanium dome tweeter. The woofer is a new shallow design that fits in standard 2x4 wall construction for easy installation. The woofer utilizes a long throw, high power design with molded carbon reinforced cones with molded elastomeric surrounds for high linearity. The midranges and tweeters are the same drivers used in our XR50 and XR100 home audio speakers and deliver the same level of performance. The grille magnetically attaches for easy removal. The grille is also paintable and will leave little to no visible edge of the mounting flange so the speaker can virtually disappear into its surroundings. It comes with all required hardware and mounting mechanisms for post-construction installations. An optional rough-in kit (#RK500) is available if needed.
