DESCRIPTION

The Metallica Team reached out to Pro-Ject and chose Pro-Ject as their partner for a Metallica-themed record player. Pro-Ject Audio Systems is proud to announce the Metallica turntable. The Metallica turntable continues Pro-Ject's tradition of collaborations with artists.

Features

  • Pre-Adjusted Pick It S2 C
  • 8.6" S-Shape Aluminum Tonearm
  • Fully Adjustable Tracking Force
  • Heavy Glass Platter
  • Electronic Speed Control
  • Unique Metallica Design

Master Of Vinyl

Pro-Ject treated the surface of this deck with a mirror-finished metal logo contour that gives the player its distinctive look. The S-shaped tonearm is fitted with a detachable SME headshell to allow quick cartridge changes. Out of the box, the turntable comes pre-adjusted with Pro-Ject's Pick it S2 C cartridge. Tracking force and anti-skating are both adjustable and make your Metallica Limited Edition Turntable a true audiophile investment.

Heavy Glass Platter

The glass platter is a heavy, zero-resonance design. The high mass of the platter produces the tightest and most accurate playback speeds and at the same time allows you to see the stunning turntable and all of its high-quality parts and incredible build quality - avoiding the flaws of plastic or lightweight construction.

Aluminum Sub Platter, Pulley, & Feet

The aluminum sub platter is usually one of Pro-Ject's most sought after upgrade parts, but comes standard on the Metallica Limited Edition Turntable! The diamond cut sub-platter and pulley can be machined to much improved and higher tolerances. The aluminum sub-platter adds more mass to the entire platter and drive system, resulting in additional damping of noise and unwanted resonances. The improved tolerances during production will increase overall speed accuracy. The additional mass and super accurate pulley and sub platter diameters improve short term speed stability, or also called Wow & Flutter.

The Metallica turntable uses height adjustable heavy-duty metal feet to ensure a level positioning on every surface, because a perfectly level turntable is essential for the Damage, Inc.

Hardwired... To Stable Speeds

In typical Pro-Ject tradition, the speed is electronically precision controlled and guarantees the most accurate and stable speeds. Change between speeds easily with the toggle switch. With the supplied round belt for 78 rpm, you can also listen to your shellac records.

S-Shape Tonearm

The 8.6“ S-shape aluminum tonearm comes with a detachable SME headshell. The SME headshell allows you to swap out cartridges fast and easily. The tonearm bearing and base are machined entirely out of aluminum. You won‘t find any plastic components in these critical parts. The Metallica Limited Edition turntable will track your vinyl records with speed, accuracy and consistency. This is The End of the Line for audiophile turntable design.
